About Saddle Peak in Andaman

Saddle Peak is the highest peak that is there in the entire Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is a part of a town called Diglipur that is situated in the Northern Andaman area. The peak offers a panoramic view of an abundance of natural beauty around. It is quite famous amongst the hikers and trekkers who are looking for an exhilarating adventure.

Greenery

This enchanting peak is a part of Saddle Peak National Park. The park area is dense with lush foliage and a plethora of varieties of trees. Apart from the usual tropical trees, one is able to find other kinds of trees like sandal and a plethora of rare varieties. There are many trees with wild fruits and bearings as well.

Trekking

There are many trekking opportunities in the park as well. Most of the trekkers prefer to scale the highest peak here, the Saddle Peak Andaman. The height of this peak is 2,418 feet or 737 meters. Even though the place is a great spot for the trekkers, the park is uninhabited. When gearing up for a trekking expedition here, make sure there are plenty of supplies and other preparations well intact. There are no shops or spots for refreshments in the park, so it is advisable to be one’s own provider while heading for a trekking adventure. The Saddle Peak mountain can be reached with proper preparations and maybe by taking the help of a guide. One would be amazed to know the trekking steps to the peak are naturally made from the roots of the old trees.

We had a family vacation at the start of the month; skeptically we booked Andamans fearing about the monsoons, but Travel Triangle and the perfectly chosen partner Pearl Andaman assured me that we will not face any issues weather wise and it will be a great experience to travel during the first week of June. Trusting them we planned our tour, and it was a great experience - starting from Rohan at TT and Shivani from Pearl Andaman - they had been very courteous, helpful and patient. They meticulously planned our travel, taking care of all our needs, booking right hotels and right rooms to accommodate my family. The cab and its drivers were amazing as well - knowledgeable about the place and talked about its history - so were the tour coordinators of both Swaraj and Saheed Dweep. The water activities they suggested and where to do those saved a lot of money as well. I almost missed to mention the ferry services - they booked the best in business for us. :) Big thumps for both TT team and Pearl Andaman team - Thank you so much for everything

We had an incredible experience on our trip to the Andaman Islands, all thanks to our agent (Anita) who meticulously planned and coordinated everything. The first two days were quite hectic as we covered major tourist attractions, but it was well worth it. The following four days were gentle and relaxing, providing a perfect balance to our vacation. My mother absolutely loved the trip and even tried scuba diving and other water sports, which was a highlight for her. Although we encountered a few hiccups with the hotel cleanliness on Neil Island, these issues were promptly addressed after I spoke with the manager. Overall, the trip was seamless, with everything running on time and as planned. We are grateful for the agent’s efforts in ensuring we had a memorable experience. I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to explore the Andaman Islands.

The trip was organised well but initially we had to keep following up for our trip details, the local travel agent did not connect once we landed. But after that it was a smooth ride all through. There was some miscommunication later on our itinerary, all this was upsetting but it was sorted. Most of the things we asked for during the trip was promptly resolved. Even for the cancelled elephanta trip we were informed that the refund of the boat tickets will be done soon. The hotel rooms had some issues like no handwash at both the hotels, damaged electric kettle at Havelock beach resort and in one room the geyser and the hair dryer was not working. But overall it was a well organised trip.

Overall good n can be satisfied...drivers n cabs n timings n tickets were all good and accurate.I wish I had a better hotel in Neil. The hotel given to us at Neil (sandy ridge)was just average..the rooms were smelly n even the shower did not work and they had rusted taps which were jammed n hard to open n close...the hotel garden was not maintained. Good coordination by travel agent...all went as planned. good behaviour of drivers--one of the driver at havlock helped me by bringing me a Bday cake for my daughter.
